Les Caves opened on NE Alberta in 2017, founded by John House and Ksenija Kostic as a wine cave built around shining a light on small producers. From the beginning, the focus was simple: create a room where people could slow down, have a conversation about wine, and feel comfortable lingering over a glass or a bottle.

The space has evolved over the years, but the intent remains the same. Les Caves has always been rooted in thoughtful selection rather than trends, with an emphasis on giving independent producers a voice. The list changes constantly, shaped by what excites us in the moment and what feels right for the room.

Today, Les Caves continues under the stewardship of Jeff Makjavich, a former manager of the space who became an owner to bring Les Caves back with care and continuity. The goal is unchanged: good bottles, simple food, and the quiet pleasure of staying a while.
